Chadlington Car & Commercial has a combined workshop and MOT Centre where we offer annual testing to motorists from nearby Chipping Norton and all locations in the Oxfordshire area. You can book in for annual MOT testing so that our inspectors can check conditions for safety, roadworthiness and emissions. This is an essential inspection service which, in the event of a pass, grants you a certificate which remains valid for the next 12 months.
You can have a test undertaken up to 28 days ahead of a certificate’s expiry date. Once you are on our system and logged onto the DVSA database, we will send out a reminder of your next due testing date well in advance.
MOT testing, a mandatory requirement on any vehicle that has been used on the road for more than three years, requires an accredited inspector to make a multipoint check based on current DVSA criteria. It is an offence to drive without a valid MOT certificate and, should the police stop you for a routine roadside check, you could face a fine of up to £1,000.00.
Driving without a certificate could also invalidate your car insurance.
We encourage you to be proactive with MOT testing, and to book in for your vehicle’s annual inspection with a little time to spare. It is your responsibility to protect yourself, your passengers and other road users. Note that a test pass is only indicative of a car being roadworthy on the day of the inspection.
It is your own duty to maintain its condition for the next 12 months.
